Guitarist Zacc Harris returns with ‘American Reckoning,’ a powerful follow-up to his 2017 album ‘American Reverie,’ reimagining the American folk canon through a modern jazz lens. Featuring Matt Peterson and Lars-Erik Larson, the album deepens it’s predecessor’s nostalgic warmth with sharper edges and a greater sense of urgency, exploring the tension between past and present through inventive arrangements of traditional songs and music by Stephen Foster, Brian Wilson, and Bob Dylan.
