ORNETTE COLEMAN DOUBLE QUARTET Free Jazz (1966 US stereo issue of the 1961 LP on a green & blue Atlantic label, a milestone in spontaneous group improvisation [still controversial among jazz fans!] using two separate quartets panned side of the spectrum. Musicians include Donald Cherry, Scott LaFaro & Billy Higgins on the left channel & Eric Dolphy, Freddie Hubbard, Charlie Haden & Ed Blackwell on the right, housed in a die-cut gatefold sleeve with Jackson Pollock artwork inside. The sleeve is Excellent with a few minor spots of light foxing/edgewear & the vinyl is at least Excellent throughout SD1364)
