A Japanese pressing of The Papas & the Mamas by the Mamas & the Papas, including the original obi.

This issue was pressed on black vinyl and does not include the “gimmick” cover used on the U.S. release but has a standard gatefold cover instead.

This copy of The Papas & the Mamas is a 1971 Japanese pressing on the Stateside label of an album that was originally released in 1968.

The cover is M- with a couple of minor foxing spots. The obi is M-; the “hojyuhyo” (reorder tag) is still attached.

The insert is M-.

The black vinyl disc is M- with a couple of spindle marks and a very faint inaudible sleeve scuff on side one. It’s a very clean disc that plays very quietly.
