Los Angeles is the debut album of the American Punk rock band X, released on April 26, 1980. The album was ranked number 286 on the Rolling Stone’s list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.
Los Angeles is considered one of Punk’s all-time finest recordings, and with good reason. Most Punk bands used their musical inability to create their own style, but X actually consisted of some truly gifted musicians, including Rockabilly guitarist Billy Zoom, bassist John Doe, and front woman Exene Cervenka. Although they are tagged as a Punk rock act, X are not easily categorized. Besides Punk and electricity, they also add country.
Los Angeles is available on audiophile black vinyl.
